Careers

Ifetayo welcomes your interest in joining its dedicated staff and teachers. Ifetayo offers a professional artistic and cultural educational environment, which fosters interdisciplinary teamwork. Come explore the possibilities.

We are currently seeking persons to fill positions within the following programs. Please click each program title for a complete listing of the positions available and click each position for a complete job description. After you review the job description, fill out the appropriate application below and submit via our secure server.

Submitting Your Application

At Ifetayo we take your privacy and the security of your personal information seriously. As a result we require all completed applications be submitted via our secure server. Please Note: Incomplete applications will be discarded.

There are 2 very simple steps for submitting your application.
Step 1: Choose the appropriate, editable pdf application below and save it to your computer's hard drive.

PLEASE NOTE: When saving the file to your hard drive you must create a new file name for the application that you’ve downloaded. For instance: "yourname_teacher_application.pdf" or "yourname_staff_application.pdf."

Once you have saved the file to your hard drive with the new file name please fill it out completely.

Step 2: Upload your completed application, with the new file name (example: "yourname_teacher_application.pdf" or "yourname_staff_application.pdf"), to our secure web server by clicking here.

Our administrative workforce handles operations specific to the development and management of Ifetayo Cultural Arts.

Cultural Arts Program (CAP):
CAP teaches students fundamental skills in dance, music, drama and visual arts to provide them with an avenue for creative expression and a vehicle for self-knowledge.

Ifetayo Youth Ensemble (IYE):
A professional training and performing program designed for youth aged 11-24 dedicated to the emotional and personal growth of youth primarily of African descent, from throughout the Caribbean, Americas and Africa.

Marcus Garvey Cultural Heritage Program (MGCHP):
The MGCHP provides historical information about the great cultures of Africa and the cultures of African descendents globally to over 160 youth and 50 parents annually.

Arts in Education (AIE):
Our AIE program provides instruction in the arts to elementary schools students in the Flatbush and Crown Heights sections of Brooklyn in collaboration with community school boards and the Board of Education.
